- It’s worth to note that, unless otherwise agreed by the Parties, the General Forwarding Terms and Conditions of the Association of the Hungarian Forwarding and Logistic Service Providers (www.szallitmanyozok.hu) is to be observed. By signing the forwarding contract, the Principal acknowledges that he/she knows and accepts the General Forwarding Terms and Conditions.
- If the Forwarder holds forwarding responsibility in the transaction, then the following liability limitations are to be observed:
Based on CMR Convention in international road transport:
8,33 SDR, i.e. appr. 9,30 EUR / gross kilograms, in case of the loss or damage of the goods.
- The Warsaw Convention for air freight:
16,67 SDR / gross kilograms, in case of the loss or damage of the goods.
- Hague-Visby Rules for sea transport:
2 SDR / kilograms or 666,67 SDR maximum compensation per consignments, in case of the loss or damage of the goods.
- EBG/CÍM Convention for rail transport:
In case of EBG: EUR 36,34 / gross weight in kilograms or
in case of CIM: 17 SDR / kilograms, in case of the loss or damage of the goods.
1 SDR equals appr. EUR 1,1. SDR is the Special Drawing Rights of the International Monetary Fund, and this is the calculation base in case of liability issues. Its exchange rate is fluctuating, as in case of any other international currencies. Please note that the value of your goods is often not covered according to its real business value, due to the limited liabilities. Please be careful and effect an insurance on your consignment to avoid any risks. GSE will be happy to transmit to you any of the freight insurances best fitting to your forwarding method and the consignment type.
Always ensure safe packaging of the consignment and always note, upon take-over, any externally visible damages in the delivery note.
Our company makes all efforts to provide safe conditions for your consignments, therefore we have a forwarding liability insurance covering 1.000.000 EUR/incidence/year.
